As you may know, Papa John’s UK has recently added vegan cheesy marmite bites to their list, and while they’re good, they’re definitely not healthy with a lot of added products. This recipe keeps it simple, with ingredients you can read, and cheese that’s not coconut oil based.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 65 g vegan butter

  • 1 cup soymilk

  • 1/4 cup marmite

  • 1 block I AM NUT OK MinerThreat

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 200 C

  • Stick your MinterThreat cheese into the freezer for about 30 minutes before use

  • Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

  • With your hands, mix in the butter until the mixture resembles dry breadcrumbs.

  • Mix in the soymilk and knead into a dough. If necessary, add flour so dough comes together.

  • Roll out the dough into a long rectangle, keeping dough at least 1/4 inch thick

  • Drizzle on the marmite and lightly spread to avoid tearing of dough.

  • Grate the MinerThreat evenly on top of the marmite, saving a little for later

  • Roll length wise (hot dog style)

  • Cut into 1-2 inch pieces (depending on how large you want them to be)

  • Place parchment paper onto the tray and place scrolls on top.

  • Grate the remaining MinerThreat on top of the scrolls

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes until scrolls are baked through
