Made in Hackney first fired up its hobs in 2012 as the UK’s first fully vegan community cookery school and charity. We collaborate with communities to showcase and develop skills, knowledge and inspiration to grow, cook and eat more plants. Made In Hackney believes in a world where everyone has access to enough nutritious food of their preference; where plant-centered eating is the norm not the exception; and equitable food systems support healthy eco-systems that allow people, planet and animals to thrive. Every year we provide over 70,000 free emergency meals to households who need support with food and upskill thousands of adults and children across the UK to grow, cook and eat more plants.
